Personal Consultation
About John's Parent Counseling:
John Rosemond is currently available for personal consultations with parents. If it is impossible for parents to travel to see John in person at his home in New Bern, North Carolina, he conducts consultations by phone (audio only). In the course of a consultation, John does not test, diagnose, or recommend medication; furthermore, although he is a psychologist, John does not employ psychological principles in counseling with parents. His advice is based on biblical principles as well as parenting tradition and commonsense. He speaks with parents only and does not consult with parents if they or the child in question are actively seeing another therapist. John charges by the session, which can last up to 90 minutes. He does not charge by the hour, nor does he charge for relatively short phone calls or to answer short emails in between sessions.
I practice with the following restrictions/guidelines:
John will not see parents who are seeing another therapist or counselor because of parenting or marital issues, nor will he see parents when the child in question is either currently in therapy or counseling with another professional or on medication for a behavioral issue.
I do not accept insurance, Medicaid, or payment from any other third-party payee, and I will not fill out forms from or communicate with any of those sources. Clients can pay directly by check, cash, or credit card (Visa/MC only).
Appointments cancelled less than 24 hours prior to the scheduled time will be billed at the full rate.
If another professional has referred to me, I will work closely with that professional.
